Background of the training programs
A strong sense of community and collaboration lies at the heart of Finavia’s culture. The organization aims to strengthen interaction skills among both leaders and employees, as well as their ability to act constructively in challenging work situations that may evoke strong emotions. The objective was to increase the courage to address sensitive issues, foster dialogue and understanding of diversity, enhance leadership and team skills, and provide long-term support for building a psychologically safe organizational culture.
It prompted reflection on my own behaviour in interactions and offered practical tools for developing those skills. I especially valued the interactive style and the hands-on exercises.

How the trainings were designed and delivered
In collaboration with Finavia, Netco Advisors delivered a two-part development program tailored separately for leaders and employees.
The leadership program, Skilfully Navigating Challenging Situations, focused on how leaders can act with emotional intelligence and in a constructive manner in demanding interaction situations. The program was grounded in strengthening self-awareness, building courage, and developing practical tools and conversational skills.
The employee programme, Skilfully Working Together, deepened participants’ understanding of responsible workplace behaviour and their own impact on the team climate and collaboration. During the day, participants practised, among other things, listening and feedback skills, as well as ways to leverage diversity and build trust within teams.
Both programs included a virtual kick-off session that enabled a shared orientation to the theme. The full-day workshops combined experiential learning with between-session assignments and peer-pair work, supporting the practical application of learning in everyday work.
